The Coalition helped secure $109,000 through the Land and Water Conservation Fund to protect North Creek Forest. Join Coalition supporters and other volunteers in the final "big event" work day on Saturday May 26th. 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

We expect to see the restoration team, students from UWB and Cascadia CC and community volunteers attending. We hope they will be visited by elected leaders or their representatives so students can show them their work and see that the community appreciates it.

If you're interested in spreading mulch the work starts at 11:00 AM. You are also welcome to join an but visitors are all arriving around noon. By then the team will have volunteers all assigned to their work and have time to answer questions and show you around.

Ranging from Little Spokane River, Quartz Mountain, Antoine Peak, Mt. Spokane and the Centennial Trail, WWRP grants have created a high quality of life in the Spokane Valley. Douglas Trail is a 75-mile trail that runs through Yakima and connects to Mount Rainier National Park. Almost $800,000 in WWRP funds helped complete the final segments of the trail.
