Riparian Habitat
In 1997, the Washington State Legislature established a pilot Riparian category for the WWRP grant program. In 1998, the Coalition secured $2.1 million for state WWRP grants to protect ten Riparian Habitat areas, leveraging $1 million in local matching funds.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
