Critical Habitat
The Coalition is currently asking the state legislature for $100 million for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) in the capital construction budget.
WWRP grants for Critical Habitat fund the acquisition of forests and wetlands
that provide habitat for fish and wildlife, such as winter
range for threatened and endangered species.
Since 1990, the Coalition has
secured $118 million for state grants to protect 75 Critical
Habitat projects in Washington State. Funding is only
available for land acquisition.
Below are lists and a map of proposed and funded WWRP projects.
